How to read FPL injury news
FPL gives every player an availability flag and, when someone is doubtful, a percentage chance of playing the next round. Out covers injury, suspension and anyone otherwise unavailable; a player on 0% is out even while the flag still says doubtful, because the percentage updates first.
A doubtful player still costs you nothing if he is benched — your automatic substitutions cover a player who does not appear at all. What they do not cover is a player who starts and comes off after twenty minutes, which is the real risk in a 25% chance.
Injuries are also the fastest way for a squad to lose value: a player who is out for months tends to be transferred out heavily, and that drives his price down every night. If you are holding one, check whether he is about to drop before you decide when to sell.
