Picks, captaincy, differentials, bench calls, transfer trends and team news for the coming deadline. Deadline: Sat 10 Oct, 11:00 (UK).
Gameweek 6 comes straight out of the October international break, and the break did damage: Havertz, Tzolis, Isak, Gakpo, Brobbey and Alex Scott all picked up injuries, while 64% of managers are sweating on João Pedro's knee. The deadline is Saturday 10 October at 11:00 UK time, before most managers' press conferences have been fully digested, so check the late news before you save.
This is a snapshot from Thursday 8 October; most clubs hold their pre-match press conferences on Thursday and Friday, so treat every doubt below as open until the managers speak or the FPL flags change.
Nine Premier League clubs play in Europe between Gameweek 6 and Gameweek 7. Liverpool and Manchester City have the tightest turnaround, from Sunday's game at Anfield to Champions League matches on Wednesday, and Manchester United go to Atlético Madrid on Tuesday after hosting Spurs on Saturday. Rotation is more likely to show in those midweek games or in Gameweek 7 than this weekend, but it is worth keeping in mind if you are planning two weeks ahead in the planner.
Our full injury list is updated as the flags change.
Brighton's Groß is the most-bought player of the week by a distance, close to a million managers, and our projections back the move at 4.9 points away at Sunderland. Manchester United's attack has the best fixture on paper at home to bottom-placed Spurs, which is why Bruno Fernandes and Mbeumo both sit near the top of the midfield projections despite being sold in numbers.

The captaincy is genuinely split this week. Haaland has worn the armband in every gameweek so far, but he goes to Anfield, and Bruno Fernandes at home to Spurs projects higher at 6.6 points. Saka at home to Leeds in the early kick-off is the third option, with Havertz's injury possibly handing him more of Arsenal's set pieces.

Gonzalo García is the differential most FPL outlets are circling: Fulham face Ipswich away, he is among the top forwards for shots, and Raúl Jiménez's exit may leave him on penalties, although that is not confirmed. Harvey Barnes has played 90 minutes in all five Newcastle games and is owned by about 6% of managers.

Three of Saturday's games kick off before most of the long-haul internationals have properly recovered: the last Americas fixtures finished in the early hours of Wednesday UK time. If a bench decision is close, the player who stayed in Europe over the break is the safer start.
More secure minutes: Guéhi is predicted 86 to De Cuyper's 75.
Level on predicted points with nothing in the data to split them: start the one whose team news you trust.
Kinder fixture: LEE (H) is difficulty 3, LIV (A) is 4.
Home advantage: Calafiori plays LEE (H), Tarkowski HUL (A).
Home advantage: Virgil plays MCI (H), Gvardiol LIV (A).
Several FPL flags are behind the news this week. Havertz, Alex Scott and Brobbey still show a 50-75% chance of playing, yet the reports from their national teams point to weeks out; our projection already has Brobbey and Scott on zero minutes. Foden, Awoniyi, Fatawu and Disasi are suspended.

João Pedro is the most-sold player of the week, about 470,000 managers, on the back of a knee problem that kept him out of Brazil's squad and sent him to a specialist. Several outlets advise holding unless Chelsea confirm a longer lay-off; our projection gives him around 41 minutes, which prices in the doubt rather than ruling him out.
